This branch, like Strokestown, is one of the oldest in the county. Among other
activities throughout the years, it hosted County and Connacht Fleadhanna in
addition to Fleadh na nGael and the National Finals of the now discontinued Ceol an
Gheimhridh (3 times).

In cooperation with the local GAA, it successfully ran a special stage-show competition called 'Parish' for a number of years and later ran set and fíor-céilithe together in the O'Rourke Centre.

Classes:
Branch Music Classes with Bernie Flaherty as teacher, are held in the Community School every Thursday from  4.00p.m.. For further information, contact An Rúnaí at above number.
