This branch, at the Centre of Ireland, has held several County Fleadhanna, C.C.É
Tour Concerts, has had Junior Pléaracha and Scoraíocht teams, floats in the local St.
Patrick's Day Parade, taken musicians on trips abroad, and is continuously
involved in the less-prominent, but never-the-less important and time-consuming work associated with an active Comhaltas Branch.

Céilithe:

A number of céilithe, with leading céilí bands, are organised each year.

 

Music Classes:
Music classes are held as follows- 

Austin Berry (mouth organ) in Coosan by appointment

Ellen Costello in Baylough by appointment

James Donohue - Athlone G.A.A. Hall from 6.00p.m. on Fridays

Áine O'Connor in Corrigeen, Knockcroghery on Mon & Tues by appointment.

Hazel Murray in Curraghboy from 6.00p.m. on Fridays

Collette McNulty in Ballybay Hall from 6.00p.m. on Tuesdays

Cathal Cunniffe holds classes in Clan na nGael Clubhouse on Fridays at 7p.m. 

Traditional Singing is taught in Knockcroghery on Tuesdays by Pauline Hanley and
Set Dancing by Tom Shine and Eileen Daly in a number of centres in the Athlone
hinterland.
